Alan Barker Dip.T.P M.R.T.P.I

Planning Associate

Alan Barker is a Chartered Town Planner, being elected to the Royal Town Planning Institute in 1986. Alan has some 35 years experience in planning, working for 27 years in Local Authorities and 8 in private practice. Alan has an extensive and up to date knowledge of both urban and rural planning issues from both sides of the fence, and is ideally qualified to advise on the full range of planning issues, from the smallest extensions to major strategic and regional developments. Alan has experience dealing with all types of residential, commercial, industrial, leisure, and recreation proposals.

Alan has a wealth of knowledge regarding both conservation and listed building proposals.

Alan enjoys spending his spare time with his young family, reliving his long lost childhood. When time allows, he likes nothing more than either playing guitar (badly!) or charging around the country on ridiculously fast motorcycles (slowly!).
